Pineapple and Banana Smoothie |

If you're making smoothies in winter, try playing with the array of tropical fruits that are available, rather than using out-of-season or frozen berries. Pineapple and banana are great here, but kiwi fruit and guavas would be as well. Almond milk adds a nutty flavor, but feel free to use any nondairy option. Ingredients:
1 cup diced pineapple |
1 medium banana, sliced |
1/4 cup orange juice |
1/2 cup unsweetened almond or soy milk |
squeeze of lime |
Directions:
1. Put all ingredients in a blender with 1 cup ice and whirl until smooth. |
