An easy, affordable and cheesy appetizer Ingredients:
2 tbls. onion soup mix |
1/2 cup water |
1 stick butter |
1/4 cup flour |
2 cups milk |
1 lb. velveeta |
3 tbls. pimento cheese spread |
1-2 oz. jar diced pimientos, drained |
french bread cubes, toasted |
Directions:
1. In bowl, add onion soup mix and water 2. Let stand 5 minutes 3. In large saucepan, melt butter over low heat 4. Add flour and stir until smooth 5. Cook for a minute, constantly stirring 6. Gradually add milk, cooking over medium heat, stirring constantly until smooth 7. Stir in onion soup mixture, cheese, cheese spread, and pimiento 8. Stirring constantly, cook until cheese melts 9. Transfer to Fondue pot to keep warm 10. Serve with French bread cubes |
