Adapted from Cooking Light, December 2007. cream cheese, Miracle Whip, grated onions, Worcestershire sauce, salt, ground red pepper, shredded reduced-fat sharp cheddar cheese, pecans, diced pimentos, smoked paprika, party-style pumpernickel bread slices cvt Ingredients:
30 g (2 tablespoons block-style) light cream cheese, softened |
1/4 cup original miracle whip |
1/4 teaspoon finely grated onions |
1/8 teaspoon worcestershire sauce |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1 dash ground red pepper |
1 cup shredded reduced-fat sharp cheddar cheese |
1 tablespoon chopped pecans, toasted |
1 ounce (jarred diced) pimentos, undrained |
1/8 teaspoon smoked paprika, optional |
98 g (14 snack-size slices) pumpernickel bread |
Directions:
1. Place cream cheese in a medium bowl; beat with a mixer at medium speed until smooth. 2. Stir in Original Miracle Whip, onion, Worcestershire sauce, salt, paprika and pepper. 3. Add cheddar cheese, pecans, and pimiento; stir well. 4. Cover and chill up to 3 hours. 5. Serve 1 tablespoon spread per bread slice. |
