pilau rice, great with indian curries Ingredients:
1 cup basmati rice |
2 cups water |
1 tsp oil |
1/2 tsp cumin, ground |
1 tsp cardamom |
1/4 tsp cinnamon, ground |
3 cloves garlic |
1 tsp salt |
Directions:
1. Rinse the rice at least twice 2. in the oile, fry the garlic, cumin, cinnamon and contents of two cardamom pods. 3. add the rice and stir for about a minute to coat the rice 4. pour in the water and bring to the boil 5. cover with a lid, turn down the hear to low and allow to cook for 15-20 minutes. |
