This is a Paula Deen recipe. It is easy to make and delicious. Good for beginners. Ingredients:
16 links of your favorite breakfast sausage cooked |
5 tart apples peeled, cored and sliced into 1/2 slices |
7 1/2 oz box of cornbread mix + ingredients to make - i use jiffy |
maple syrup for serving |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 450. 2. Prepare cornbread mix according to package directions. Set aside. 3. Spray 8 square baking pan with nonstick cooking spray. 4. Arrange cooked sausages in baking pan. 5. Layer sliced apples in between and on top of sausages. 6. Pour cornbread batter on top of apples and spread to edges. 7. Bake for 30 minutes or until cornbread is done. 8. Serve with maple syrup. |
