Pierogi With Cheese (Pierozki Z Serem) |

Polish Ravioli Ingredients:
1 lb farmer cheese, ground (or 1 lb dry cottage cheese, ground with 1 tbs butter) |
1 egg yolk |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 egg |
3 1/4 cups flour |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup water |
1 1/2 tablespoons butter, melted |
Directions:
1. Combine the cheese with the egg yolk, add some salt. 2. Mix the egg with the flour, add a dash of salt and as much water as needed to knead a smooth loose dough. 3. Roll out a little of the stuffing on each square. Fold to form a triangle, pinch the edges together. 4. Cook in a large kettle with boiling salted water on high heat for 5 minute Remove with colander spoon to a warmed serving platter. 5. Pour the melted butter over the pierogi. |
