This was given to me by a Mennonite friend (along with her recipe for apple dumplings). Wonderful and easy. Ingredients:
4 cups flour |
1 tablespoon sugar |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 1/2 cups shortening |
1 egg |
1 cup water |
1 teaspoon vinegar |
Directions:
1. Mix flour, sugar, salt and shortening in a large bowl. 2. Mix egg, water and vinegar together. 3. Add egg mixture to flour mixture. 4. Roll out to shape needed. |
