This pie crust is from an Amish cookbook. The baking time depends on what you are doing with them.
Ingredients:
4 cups flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup vegetable shortening
1 egg, beaten
5 tablespoons cold water
1 tablespoon vinegar
Directions:
1. Mix flour and salt.
2. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles small peas.
3. Combine remaining ingredients and stir into shortening and flour.
4. Let stand a few minutes.
5. Roll out dough on floured board.
6. Makes (6) 9 inch shells or (3) 9 inch double-crust pies.
