There are a number of Pico de Gallo recipes here on Zaar, but, I believe, not one just like this one, which comes from the 2004 Healthy Latino-Recipes Made with Love. Ingredients:
1 lb tomato, ripe, chopped |
1 1/2 cups onions, chopped |
1/3 cup fresh cilantro, chopped |
2 jalapeno peppers, seeds removed, chopped (or 1/2 to 3 peppers!) |
2 tablespoons lime juice |
2 garlic cloves, minced |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in medium bowl with a cover. 2. Serve immediately, using to season a meal or with tortilla chips, OR cover & refrigerate up to 3 days. |
