This is a very flavorful appetizer! Huge hit when served and everyone will want the recipe. Ingredients:
2 1/2 lbs shrimp |
celery tops |
2 t salt |
2 c thinly sliced onion |
7 bay leaves |
1 1/4 c salad oil |
3/4 c white vinegar |
2 t salt |
2 1/2 t celery seed |
2 1/2 t capers and juice |
1/8 t hot sauce |
Directions:
1. Cook shrimp for 3 to 5 minutes in boiling water with celery tops and salt. 2. Peel and devein. 3. Alternate cooked shrimp and sliced onions in shallow baking dish. Add bay leaves. 4. Mix together remaining ingredients and pour over shrimp. 5. Cover and store in fridge. 6. Let marinade 24 hours. |
