A great appetizer. Bring to room temperature before serving with crackers Ingredients:
1 lb shrimp |
1/4 cup celery leaves |
2 tablespoons pickling spices |
1 1/2 teaspoons salt |
1/2 cup onion, thinly sliced |
4 bay leaves |
3/4 cup italian dressing (zesty) |
1/3 cup white vinegar |
1 teaspoon celery seed |
1 drop tabasco sauce |
1 tablespoon capers (add a little juice) |
Directions:
1. Fill pot with water. Add celery leaves and pickling spices. Boil for at least 5 minutes. Water will turn a brownish yellow. Add shrimp and cook till done. 2. Meanwhile, combine all other ingredients in a non metal containe with lid. Peel cooked shrimp while warm and add to container. Place in refrigerator over night. 3. Serve with crackers - remember to bring to room temperature. |
