Mom always made these pickled eggs and her's were the best of any I had ever tasted. Ingredients:
24 eggs |
2 1/4 cups vinegar |
3/4 cup water |
2 tablespoons sugar |
2 tablespoons salt |
Directions:
1. Boil the eggs for 8-10 minutes;let them completely cool and then peel. 2. Place eggs in a large sanitized glass jar. 3. Combine the remaining ingredients and boil the brine for 5 minutes. 4. Allow the brine to cool for a bit and then pour over the eggs. 5. Cover tightly and let stand for 5- 7 days before using. |
