This sauce is great on anything but especially meats. I use sauces on rice many times as if it were gravy. This one is one of my favorites! It is not the commercial, brand pepper sauce sold under the same name but it is still a great recipe! I would rate this medium hot. **Prep time includes allowing the sauce to blend for 7 days! Ingredients:
12 dried hot chili peppers, seeds and stems removed and crushed |
1/2 teaspoon dried mustard |
3 tablespoons soy sauce |
3 tablespoons lime juice |
1/4 cup ketchup |
1 teaspoon salt |
2 teaspoons brown sugar |
1 cup dry sherry |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a bottle and refrigerate for at least a week to blend all the flavors. 2. Shake at least once a day. |
