A nice fast, cheap meal. Great for when money and time are both tight. Plus it's tasty!! Ingredients:
2 tablespoons cornstarch |
2 tablespoons water |
1 lb ground beef |
1 tablespoon chili powder |
3/4 cup salsa |
16 ounces black beans, drained |
15 ounces pinto beans, undrained |
14 1/2 ounces stewed tomatoes |
2 cups cooked rice |
seasoning salt |
tabasco sauce |
Directions:
1. In a bowl mix cornstarch and water. 2. Set aside. 3. In a skillet brown the beef with the chili powder. 4. Cook until beef is done. 5. Add salsa, beans and tomatoes. 6. Stir and then add cornstarch mixture. 7. Cook until mixture thickens. 8. Add rice and season with seasoned salt and Tabasco sauce. |
