These cheese steak rolls are easy to make and my boyfriend and I never get tired of them. They also freeze and reheat very well. Ingredients:
1 package thinly sliced beef (you can use any cut of meat that you would like but if it is already sliced the process is much easier) |
1 package egg roll wrappers |
1 medium sized white onion |
1 package sliced provolone cheese |
a pinch of salt and pepper |
canola or vegetable oil for frying |
Directions:
1. Place a small amount of oil in your skillet. 2. place the beef in the skillet and season with salt and pepper. 3. slice onion and add to pan. 4. cook for approximately 5 minutes until the beef looks cooked. 5. remove all items from skillet, slice meat, and place in a bowl. 6. wipe down skillet and add 4 tablespoons of oil. 7. open egg roll wrappers and cheese. 8. place a small piece of cheese on the corner of the egg roll, also add a small amount of onions and sliced steak. 9. Roll up and seal with a small dab of water . 10. Fry both sides in pan for approx 3 minutes per side. 11. Repeat until all wrappers and filling ingredients are gone. |
