From Frugal Gourmet Cooks with Wine Ingredients:
8 inches italian bread |
10 ounces beef steaks, sliced very thin across the grain |
olive oil (for frying) |
pizza sauce |
4 slices provolone cheese |
fried yellow onion |
pickled jalapeno pepper (optional) |
Directions:
1. Slice the loaf in half through the center and then in half so that you have two half moon sandwiches. 2. Grill the beef on a hot griddle in a little olive oil. Do not overcook. 3. Place meat on a bottom half of the sandwich. Top with the pizza sauce and cheese. Broil until melted. 4. Top with onion and peppers. 5. Place lid on sandwich and enjoy. |
