This recipe goes with Pesto-Stuffed Pasta Shells Ingredients:
4 cloves garlic |
2 tablespoons pine nuts |
1 1/2 cups tightly packed fresh basil leaves |
1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley |
1/3 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese |
1/2 cup commercial oil-free italian dressing |
Directions:
1. Position knife blade in food processor bowl. Drop garlic andpine nuts through food chute with processor running; process5 seconds or until garlic is minced. Add basil and parsley;process 10 seconds or until minced. Add cheese; process until blended. Slowly pour Italian dressing through food chute with processor running, blending until smooth. Spread on chicken or fish before cooking, use as a stuffing for mushroom caps, spread on fresh tomato slices or baguette slices, or serve on hot pasta. |
