Great on whole wheat pasta Ingredients:
1/4 cup walnuts |
1 1/2 cups basil |
2 garlic cloves |
1/4 cup water |
3 tablespoons olive oil |
2 tablespoons lemon juice |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1 pinch pepper |
Directions:
1. In a food processor or blender, chop walnuts and garlic, and add basil slowly and pulse until both walnuts and basil is chopped. Turn food processor on low/medium and add water and olive oil. Next add lemon juice and salt and pepper to taste - I usually use 2 tablespoon lemon juice, a 1/8 tsp salt, and a pinch of pepper - and Vio-La! |
