An appetizer the color and shape of a Christmas tree. That's what you'll have when you make this recipe. It's easy and it's cute. Recipe comes from Jeanne Bice's Quacker Factory Christmas. Ingredients:
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese |
1/2 cup basil pesto (use your favorite pre-made ' or make your own) |
cinnamon stick |
1 red bell pepper, chopped fine |
Directions:
1. Cut the cream cheese in half diagonally, going corner to corner to form 2 triangles. Place triangles together. long straight edges together and short straight sides on the bottom, to form a Christmas tree shape on a serving plate. (A Christmas tree shaped plate would be perfect!) Top with pesto and insert a cinnamon stick at the base of the triangle for the tree trunk. 2. Use the chopped red pepper to decorate the tree - make the red pepper look like the ornaments. 3. Serve with your favorite crackers. |
