I love burgers and this is a nice change. So much flavor that you only need a little mayo. Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground sirloin |
1/4 cup basil pesto |
1 large garlic clove, minced |
1/4 cup sun-dried tomato packed in oil, drained and minced |
salt & freshly ground black pepper |
6 slices provolone cheese |
6 slices tomatoes |
1 purple onion, thinly sliced |
6 tablespoons mayonnaise |
6 onion rolls |
Directions:
1. Combine beef, pesto, garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, salt and pepper. Mix together thoroughly and shape into 6 patties. 2. Grill burgers to desired doneness. Top with cheese slices just before burgers finish cooking. 3. Serve burgers on onion rolls with the mayonnaise, tomatoes and onion. |
