Serve on pasta, broccoli, green beans, French bread or baked potato. You can also add the Pesto to pasta with shredded carrots, blanched broccoli and chopped pimento. Ingredients:
2 c fresh basil leaves |
2 cloves of garlic |
1 hand full of parsley |
1/2 c toasted pine nuts |
3/4 c grated parmesan or ramano cheese |
1/2 c olive oil |
Directions:
1. Place basil leaves, parsley and garlic into a food processor or blender. 2. Add toasted pine nuts, cheese and olive oil. 3. Process until a smooth paste is formed. 4. Divide into small glass jars. 5. Cover with a thin film of olive oil. 6. Add lid an freeze. 7. Thaw in fridge and pour off the olive oil. |
