think this is my all time favorite salad..a nice little twist Ingredients:
8 ounces crushed pineapple, undrained |
3 ounces orange flavor gelatin |
1/2 cup boiling water |
8 ounces cream cheese, softened |
1 cup shredded cabbage |
1/2 cup shredded carrot |
1/2 cup diced celery |
Directions:
1. Drain pineapple, reserve juice, dissolve gelatin in boiling water . 2. Use reserved syrup and enough cold water to measure 1/2 cup - 3. Gradually add to cream cheese mixture, mix well. 4. Fold in remaining ingredients. 5. Pour into lightly oiled 1 quart mold. 6. Chill till firm. 7. Unmold onto chilled serving platter - 8. I sometimes unmold this onto lettuce leafs on a dessert place - . |
