This is the basic, simple way I learned to make rice. It comes out perfect every time, and no scorching. Ingredients:
3 cups water |
1 1/2 cups basmati rice |
Directions:
1. In a saucepan bring the water bring to a boil. 2. Add the rice, stir, and allow to boil together for 1 minute. 3. Turn off the heat, cover the saucepan, and let sit for 20 minutes. It’s done! 4. Fluff the rice and serve. 5. Note: some folks like to add a bit of salt, chicken bouillon, or butter into the water for flavor. |
