This simple bread base rolls out to be a great thin or thick crust pizza dough Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups bread flour |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon fast rising yeast (quick rise) |
1/2-2/3 cup lukewarm water |
1 tablespoon olive oil |
Directions:
1. sift the flour and salt into large mixing bowl. 2. stir in yeast 3. make a well in the center of the dry ingredients. Pour the water and oil in to the well. 4. mix with a spoon to a soft dough. 5. turn out dough on lightly floured surface and knead for about 7-10 mins until dough is smooth and elastic. 6. place dough in a greased bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until the dough has doubled its size 7. punch down the dough and knead again for 2-3 minutes 8. roll or strech out dough to fit pizza pan. top with sauce and cheese. 9. place in 425 F preheated over for 15-20 mins until crisp and golden. |
