Pie-crust dough. Ingredients:
4 c flour |
1 t sugar |
2 t salt |
1 t white vinegar |
1 3/4 c crisco |
1/2 c cold water |
1 large egg |
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, mix well with a fork, flour, sugar and salt. 2. Add shortening; mix well with fork until crumbly. 3. In a small bowl, beat water, vinegar and eggs. 4. Add to flour mixture; stir until moistened. 5. Divide dough into 5 portions and shape each into a flat circle. 6. Wrap each circle in plastic and chill at least 1/2 hour. 7. Makes 5 - 9 crust. 8. Note: 9. Dough can be refrigerated up to 3 days. |
