This is a recipe I came across mostly from trial and error. The measurements are not exact, but the general idea is in there somewhere. This makes a few batches worth, as we like to freeze them and use them for later. Great for meatball subs, italian wedding soup, and red sauce. Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
1 lb ground italian sausage |
2 eggs |
1/2 cup milk |
1 cup breadcrumbs (plain) |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon pepper |
2 teaspoons oregano |
2 teaspoons parsley |
2 teaspoons basil |
1 teaspoon minced garlic |
1 teaspoon onion powder |
1 tablespoon red pepper flakes |
1/2 cup parmesan cheese |
Directions:
1. Pre-heat oven to 350. 2. Mix all ingredients together thoroughly (use your hands for best results). 3. Roll into golf ball size meatballs. 4. Arrange on a greased baking sheet. 5. Bake for approximately 20-25 minutes, turning over halfway through. |
