Every TRUE South Texas girl should have a Rockin Guac. recipe......this is mine! Goes great with Julio's tortilla chips, as a topping on your fajitas or just eaten directly out of the bowl with a spoon! Enjoy YA'LL! Read more !! Ingredients:
4-5 med sized avacados peeled and seeded |
4 cloves garlic minced |
2 jalepenos (seeded) finely minced |
1/2 red onion finely chopped |
handful of cilantro leaves coursely chopped ( more or less depending on your tastebuds) |
juice of two limes |
salt & pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Mash avacados with a fork or potato masher on a flat surface. ( i normally just do this directly on my cutting board...the fewer dishes the better) If you want to go mash crazy with this step go ahead....but i prefer to have mine pretty chunky, so i just mash a few times with a fork! Transfer to a med. size bowl. 2. Add in the garlic, tomatoes, jalepenos, onion, cilantro and lime juice and give the mixture a stir. 3. salt & pepper to taste......i am pretty liberal with the salt. Just add a little and taste, add a little and taste! |
