This is the best damn recipe for chocolate chip cookies I have ever tasted, and I'd consider myself somewhat of a CCC connoissuer. The recipe calls for 3 T of granulated sugar, but my sister-in-law (who gave me the recipe) swears that it tastes better if you use brownulated sugar. I find that it's good either way. Enjoy! Ingredients:
1/2 cup margarine or 1/2 cup unsalted butter |
1 cup brown sugar |
3 tablespoons granulated sugar |
1 egg |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 3/4 cups flour |
1 1/2 teaspoons instant coffee, slightly crushed |
8 ounces chocolate chips |
Directions:
1. Cream the sugars and the margarine until fluffy. 2. Add egg and vanilla and continue beating. 3. Combine dry ingredients and add to the margarine mixture. 4. Mix in chocolate chips. 5. Form into balls, and flatten slightly. 6. Bake for 8-10 minutes at 375. |
