I love bread pudding and this is my favorite. It's very quick and easy to prepare and my family loves it. Hope you do too. Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups milk |
2 eggs, slightly beaten |
2 cups bread, cubed (day-old) |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup raisins |
Directions:
1. Combine milk and eggs. 2. Pour over bread cubes. 3. Add remaining ingredients. 4. Toss lightly to blend. 5. Spread mixture in a greased 8x8x2 inch baking dish. 6. Set dish on oven rack placed over a shallow pan. 7. Pour hot water around it into shallow pan one inch deep. 8. Bake in 350 degree oven 35 to 40 minutes or until knife inserted 1/2 way between center and outside edge comes out clean. |
