6 cups sweet apples, peeled and sliced |
1 cup apple cider |
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (optional) |
Directions:
1. Place apples and cider in heavy saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring frequently, until mixture comes to a boil. 2. Lower heat and simmer, stirring frequently, for about 1 hour, or until apple slices have disintegrated and butter is thick. 3. Remove from heat and stir in cinnamon. 4. Pour into sterilized jars. Seal and process according to directions in a reputable canning guide. |
