This recipe is from America's Everyday Diabetes Cookbook. Ingredients:
4 large red onions, quartered |
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil |
1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves |
1/4 cup chicken stock or 1/4 cup vegetable stock |
salt, to taste |
pepper, to taste |
hot sauce, to taste |
Directions:
1. In crockpot, combine the onions, oil, oregano and stock. 2. Stir to combine, cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or until onions are tender. 3. Season with salt, pepper and hot sauce to taste, serve. |
