Peppersteak Seitan (Vegan)

Ingredients:
1/8 cup sunflower oil
2 cups onions, chopped
2 1/2 cups mushrooms, sliced
1 1/2 cups water
1/4 cup pizza sauce
1/8 cup maple syrup
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/8 cup cider vinegar
1 tbsp ginger, grated
1 tbsp miso, brown rice
1/2 tsp basil
3/4 tsp black pepper
1 1/2 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp ground cloves
1 1/2 tsp sunflower oil
3 tsp white flour
2 tbsp tapioca starch
1 tbsp cold water
250 g seitan , chopped
Directions:
1. Saute vegetables for 10 minutes.
2. Add water and seasonings and bring to a boil.
3. Mix the oil and flour together to form a paste.
4. Stir the paste into the sauce until it thickens and bring to a boil.
5. Then dissolve the tapioca in the cold water and stir this mixture into the sauce until thickens again.
6. Add the copped seitan and serve.
