This is a staple in the spaghetti houses here in N.E. Ohio Ingredients:
12 hot banana peppers |
olive oil |
3 garlic cloves minced |
a good parmesan or romano cheese to taste |
Directions:
1. Slice peppers and saute in olive oil with garlic til just wilted about 5 min. 2. Stir in cheese and allow to cool. 3. Serve at room temp. with shavings of romano on top 4. Serve with a good crusty Italian bread and good real butter 5. Enjoy |
