Peppermint Cloud Brownies |

Great holiday brownies. Look so pretty too. From Ladies Home Journal Ingredients:
8tbs unsalted butter,plus more for pan |
2oz. semi-sweet chocolate |
1/2c unsweetened cocoa |
3/4c packed light-brown sugar |
2 lg eggs |
1/2c all purpose flour |
1/4tsp salt |
2/3c chopped pecans |
1/3c milk |
1tsp vanilla extract |
11/3c mini marshmallows |
3tbs crushed peppermint sticks |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350. Butter 8 square pan and line with piece of parchment overhanging on 2 sides. Butter parchment;set aside. 2. In a saucepan,melt butter,chocolate and cocoa on low heat,stirring till smooth. Remove from heat and stir in sugar,eggs,flour,salt,nuts,milk, and vanilla till combined. 3. Spread batter into prepared pan. Bake till just set,20 mins. Remove from oven,top with marshmallows and bake till marshmallows are puffed,another 5 mins. 4. Immediately sprinkle with peppermint. Cool in pan. 5. Loosen edges and lift brownies from pan using parchment. Use a buttered knife to cut into squares. Store airtight up to 1 day. |
