3 c sifted flour |
1 tbsp baking powder |
1 tsp salt |
3/4 c butter or margarine |
1 1/2 c sugar |
3/4 c milk |
1/2 c water |
1 tsp extract.html >vanilla extract >vanilla extract vanilla extract |
3 egg whites |

Directions:
1. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. 2. Cream together butter and sugar unti llight and fluffy. 3. Combine milk, water, and Vanilla Extract >vanilla extract. 4. Add flour mixture to creamed butter mixture alternately with the milk mixture, beating after each addition. 5. Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry. 6. Fold egg whites into batter. 7. Turn into two greased 9 inch pans. 8. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes or until tester comes out clean. 9. Cool 10 minutes, thenturn onto a wire rack to cool completely. 10.
