This is so incredible. I serve it over pesto fettucini with a dinner salad. It is always gobbled right up. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Ingredients:
1 pound butter |
2 teaspoons fresh basil chopped |
2 teaspoons fresh oregano chopped |
1 bay leaf crumbled |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup lemon juice |
2 teaspoons cayenne pepper |
5 garlic cloves minced |
1/2 cup black pepper finely ground |
4 pounds large raw shrimp in shells |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in a large deep-sided frying pan or iron skillet over low heat. 2. When melted raise the heat then and add the remaining ingredients except shrimp. 3. Cook stirring often until browned to a rich mahogany color. 4. Add the shrimp stirring and turning to coat well with the seasoned butter. 5. Cook until shrimp have turned a rich deep pink. 6. Serve shrimp in their shells peeling them at the table. |
