Peppered Pork With Chive Sauce |

From BHG..Great for weeknights because it tastes less than 1/2 hour, start to finish. Ingredients:
4 boneless pork chops, 3/4 inch thick |
1 tsp. coarsely ground pepper, black or tricolored |
2 tsp. olive oil |
1/4 cup water |
3 tbls. dry sherry or chicken broth |
1 3oz. pkg. cream cheese and chives (or 3oz. pkg plain cream cheese mixed with finely chopped chives) |
fresh chives, chopped for garnish |
Directions:
1. Lightly rub pepper into both sides of pork chops 2. Heat oil in skillet and cook pork chops for 8-10 minutes until no longer pink, turning once 3. Remove from skillet and keep warm 4. Add water to hot skillet 5. Add sherry or broth and heat until bubbling 6. Add cream cheese 7. Whisk until cheese is melted 8. Pour sauce over pork 9. Garnish with chopped chives |
