Garlic bread is a welcome sight on any dinner table. Make this easy recipe with a little kick from the ground pepper. Serve toasted and warm. Ingredients:
1 (16-ounce) round loaf sourdough bread |
1/4 cup nonfat mayonnaise |
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese |
1 1/2 teaspoons ground pepper |
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder |
Directions:
1. Slice bread vertically into 10 slices, cutting to, but not through, bottom of loaf. Slice 6 longest slices in half for a total of 16 slices. Spread one side of each bread slice evenly with mayonnaise; sprinkle with cheese, pepper, and garlic powder. Wrap loaf in aluminum foil, sealing edges. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes or until warm and toasted. |
