Pepper complements the nutty flavor of swiss cheese. From Land-O-Lakes Cookbook. Ingredients:
6 ounces cream cheese, softened |
1/2 cup sour cream |
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt |
1 1/2 cups swiss cheese, shredded |
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped |
2 -3 tablespoons fresh coarse ground black pepper |
Directions:
1. in small mixer bowl beat cream cheese on medium speed, scraping bowl often until smooth. 2. add sour cream and garlic salt, continue beating until well mixed. 3. by hand stir in cheese and parsley. 4. refrigerate at least 2 hours. 5. shape into flattened cheese ball or log. 6. roll in pepper to coat. 7. store refrigerated. |
