Ah pepper steak..one of those dishes I find myself craving right now. A + Recipe from Bois D'Arc Elementary. Ingredients:
2 round steaks cut in strips |
1 stick butter |
1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce |
2 beef bouillion cubes |
2 c hot water |
1 green pepper cut in strips |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in large skillet. 2. Brown the meat and add the green pepper till cooked. 3. Dissolve bouillion cubes in hot water. 4. Add this and the tomato sauce to the meat. 5. Simmer 20 minutes. 6. Mix together: 1/2 cup cold water, 1 tsp sugar, 1 tblsp cornstarch, and 3 tblsp soy sauce. 7. Add this to meat mixture, stir till thickened. 8. Serve over rice. |
