II was looking for something different than your typical queso when I stumbled upon this recipe on the inside of a Velveeta Pepper Jack Cheese package. I altered it to spice it up a little but it was also great as is, so feel free to make it to suit to your taste. I am posting it as-is as well as with the changes I made! Also, I quartered the recipe with the same results. I think ground beef and/or beans would be a nice addition to make it heartier. Ingredients:
1 (16 ounce) package velveeta pepper jack cheese |
1 (8 ounce) container sour cream |
1 cup ranch dressing |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
1 teaspoon cumin |
1/2 cup salsa |
Directions:
1. Stir all ingredients together in a microwaveable bowl for 6 minutes until Velveeta is melted; stirring every 2 minutes. Serve with chips, crackers or veggies. |
