Ingredients:
1 1 1/2-lb. flank steak |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 tablespoon black pepper |
1 tablespoon olive oil |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400ºF. Rub steak on both sides with salt and pepper. 2. Warm oil in a large ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak and cook until browned on 1 side, about 1 minute. Carefully flip steak and cook until browned, about 1 minute longer. 3. Transfer skillet to oven and cook steak to desired doneness—6 to 8 minutes for medium-rare. Transfer steak to a cutting board, tent with foil to keep warm and let stand for 5 minutes before slicing and serving. |
