Pepper Burgers, Simply the Best  |

                    Make good use of fresh ingredients from a summer garden. Ingredients: 
                    
                        
                                                1 lb ground round  |  
                                                2 green peppers  |  
                                                6 fresh basil leaves  |  
                                                1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper  |  
                                                
                     
                    Directions: 
                    
                        
                            
                                1. Core and seed peppers, chop into 1/2 inch pieces. 2. Add to a pot of lightly salted boiling water for a minute or so, strain through a colander but don't rinse; cool to room temperature. 3. Roughly mince basil leaves, add all ingredients into a large bowl and mix with your hands. Divide mixture into 6 parts and shape into burgers. You can freeze them by placing patties between waxed paper, and then into containers or freezer bags. 4.
