Super easy frosting made with ingredients that you probably already have in the house. It is so easy and you'll get so many compliments that you'll never want to buy the canned stuff again. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter |
1 cup packed light brown sugar |
1/2 cup half and half (or milk) |
3 cups sifted powdered sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. Melt the butter; add the brown sugar and cook over low heat two minutes, stirring constantly. Add the milk and continue stirring until mixture comes to a boil and cook for about a minute. Add confectioner's sugar and keep mixing until the frosting is of a spreading consistency. 2. Poor over cooled cake immediately. Let it sit and cool completely before serving. |
