This is Darlene Kossman's recipe. It had more butter than the other recipes; and brown sugar. She has that you can use vegetable shortening instead of butter. Ingredients:
1 cup brown sugar |
1/4 cup milk |
1/4 cup butter |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 cup nuts |
Directions:
1. Place first 4 ingredients in pan. 2. Bring to full rolling boil stirring constantly. 3. Boil 1 minute. 4. Remove and beat until lukewarm. 5. Add vanilla and nuts. 6. Pour into heavily buttered cookie sheet. |
