Traditional beef dish 1 serving = 3 oz. roast, 1/3 c. sauce Ingredients:
24 oz. beef, loin, bottom sirloin butt, tri-tip roast |
3/4 c. beef broth |
1 c. minced onion |
1/2 c. tomatoes, crushed, canned |
1/4 c. diced carrot |
1/4 c. diced celery |
1 tbsp. dried parsley |
1/4 tsp. thyme |
Directions:
1. Place a large saucepan coated with cooking spray over medium high heat until hot. Add roast, browning all sides. Add broth and remaining ingredients to pan, bring to a boil. 2. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 3 hours or until tender. 3. Slice roast and place on a serving platter. Cook broth mixture, uncovered, for 10 min. Serve roast with sauce. |
