Oh yum, I love this. warm with maple syrup on it..... Ingredients:
1 cup cold water |
1 cup corn meal |
3 cups boiling water |
1 tsp salt |
Directions:
1. Mix cold water and corn meal. Stir into boiling water and salt. 2. Cook stirring, until it boils, cover and cook over boiling water in double boiler 30 minutes OR uncovered over very low heat. 3. Pack into greased loaf pan. Cover with plastic wrap and chill over night or several hours until firm. 4. Slice and brown in a skillet. 5. serve with syrup. |
