i found this in an old book of clippings that i kept from the early 80s. it was good, if memory serves me well Ingredients:
1 large onion, chopped |
2 cloves garlic, chopped |
2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine |
1/2 cup orange juice |
2 tablespoons cider vinegar |
2 tablespoons oil |
1 tablespoon raisins |
1 cup light molasses |
1 cup ketchup |
1 tablespoon grated orange rind |
2 teaspoons chili powder |
2 teaspoons red pepper flakes |
1 teaspoon dijon mustard |
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce |
salt and pepper |
1 dash ground cloves |
Directions:
1. in oil saute onion and garlic until soft. 2. combine remaining ingreds in a blender, until smooth. 3. add to onion garlic mixture, bring to boil, cover, lower heat and simmer for 15 minutes. 4. may be used on parboiled ribs, pork or beef. |
