My niece Penina makes this for Shabbat. It's extremely quick and easy. Penina usually serves it as a first course and it is so popular we are often too full to eat the meat course. Ingredients:
4 salmon fillets |
salt |
pepper |
lemon pepper (optional) |
garlic powder |
onion powder |
paprika |
dill (optional) |
1 sliced onion |
1/2 sliced bell pepper (optional) |
4 sliced garlic cloves (optional) |
lemon juice |
water (optional) |
1 lemon (optional) |
Directions:
1. Line bottom of pan with sliced onions. If using peppers and or garlic add them too. 2. Place fillets on top of the vegetables. 3. Pour lemon juice over all. Add some water if desired. [The fish will release its own juices so it probably won't be too dry.]. 4. Sprinkle seasonings over all. 5. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes. If the fish is frozen (not thawed) double the cooking time. 6. Garnish with lemon slices or wedges if desired. |
