These are oatmeal raisin (or chocolate chip) cookies with a touch of cinnamon. I usually make these only at Christmas, but they can be made and enjoyed anytime. Ingredients:
1 cup butter |
1 cup white sugar |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
1 egg |
1 1/2 cups flour |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 1/2 cups oatmeal |
1 cup chocolate chips or 1 cup raisins |
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugars. 2. Add eggs and mix. 3. Add salt, baking soda, and cinnamon and mix well. 4. Add flour gradually and mix. 5. Add oatmeal gradually and mix. Add raisins or chips and mix well. 6. Chill dough for 1 hour. 7. Break off into small pieces and roll into balls. Flatten with glass dipped in butter (to make sugars stick) and sugar. 8. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes. |
